Sunshine Pork Chops
This recipe was inspired from my favorite childhood television series. This recipe brings the sunshine. It marries the sweetness & zestiness together in such a great way together with the pork chops.
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- 700 g pork chops
- Salt & pepper
- 1 tbsp flour
- 2 tbsp brown sugar
- 60 g almonds crushed
- 210 ml orange juice
- 5 g orange peel grated
- 200 g white rice
- Boil the rice.
- Heat the oil in a frying pan. Season the pork chops with some salt & pepper. Start frying the pork chops in the pan. Cook until they are light brown in color, approximately for 8 minutes on each side over medium heat.
- In a saucepan mix the flour, brown sugar, almonds, orange juice & orange peel. Start cooking the mixture, stirring constantly, till it's a bit less watery in consistency.
- Serve the rice on a plate. Pour some orange mixture on top & then place the pork chop on top. Squeeze some orange juice on top of the pork chop.
