If you’re looking for an easy sweet treat that’s guaranteed to put smiles on everyone’s faces, this Chocolate & Jam Croissant Bread is the perfect recipe to try. It’s made with simple ingredients, comes together in no time & looks far more impressive than the effort it takes to make it. Recipes like this remind me that you don’t need complicated techniques to create something truly delicious.

A Fun Recipe to Make Together as a Family
One of my favorite things about this recipe is that it’s perfect for making together as a family. I made this one with my son & we had so much fun. Layering the buttery croissant dough, spreading the jam & sprinkling the chocolate between each layer. Cooking together always creates special memories & this recipe is simple enough for little hands to help with.

The Perfect Treat for Any Time of Day
When it came out of the oven, the whole family couldn’t wait to dig in. My children especially love it served warm. They also love it with a generous dusting of icing sugar on top while the chocolate is still deliciously melted. It’s perfect for breakfast, brunch, an afternoon treat or even as a simple dessert to share around the table.
Make It Your Own
The best part is that you can easily make it your own. While we love the combination of fruity jam & chocolate, you can fill it with whatever your family enjoys most. Try different flavors of jam, add chocolate spread, peanut butter, fresh berries, chopped nuts or even a little cinnamon. Every version is just as fun to make & just as delicious to eat.

A Recipe Made for Sharing
Here at It’s Food o’Clock!, I love sharing recipes that bring families together without spending hours in the kitchen. I hope it becomes a favorite in your home just as it has in ours.

Chocolate & Jam Croissant Bread
Ingredients
- 50 g dark chocolate grated
- 1 medium egg beaten
- 3 tbsp raspberry jam
- 3 tbsp strawberry jam
- 3 rolls croissant roll dough 18 individual croissants
- baking spray
Instructions
- Preheat oven up to 180°C (350°F).
- Spray a baking pan with the baking spray & let it set.
- Spread the croissant dough roll & cut the croissants one by one.
- Stuff each croissant with 1 tsp of the jam. I filled half of the croissants with strawberry jam & the other half with raspberry jam.
- Roll each croissant one by one to form them.
- Start layering the croissants. I did one layer of one flavor & the next in a different flavor. Between each layer, sprinkle some dark chocolate. Continue layering until you have used all of the croissants.
- For the top layer, first brush the top with the egg wash & then sprinkle the last of your dark chocolate.
- Cover the baking pan & bake in the oven for 40 minutes.
- Let cool a bit before slicing (if you have the patience) & enjoy!
